On Fridays/Saturdays between July 1st and August 15th, parking at North Beach State Park sells out fast. Off-peak and weekdays are less busy; however, purchasing your parking pass the day of is a gamble. If you are planning to go, purchase a pass for each vehicle. If you are not planning to go to the beach but just launching your boat and parking, some parking has been set aside for this; however, when it is full, you will be turned away unless you have purchased a pass.

PICKING UP YOUR RENTAL
Arrive at North Bear Rentals' property at the scheduled Pick-Up Date and Time. You may arrive 15 minutes early.
Please bring the following:
1. The person whose name is on the reservation with a Valid ID.
2. Any person planning to operate a motorized vehicle and a Valid ID.
3. A credit card with the available damage deposit.
4. A Tow Vehicle with a 2" ball and Proof of Insurance.
Complete any documentation/payments not already completed when you placed your reservation.
Select your Safety Equipment, such as life jackets or helmets.
(PWC ONLY: All PWC operators are required by Idaho State to watch a 10-minute "PWC Safety Video".)
Choose your reserved Toys and Add-Ons. You may also add additional toys at the time of Check-On.
A North Bear Rentals staff member will Hook-Up your Rental to your tow vehicle, take picture documentation and provide a thorough education on your Rental to help you and your Operators avoid injury or damages.
RETURNING YOUR RENTAL (15-25 minutes)
When preparing to return your Rental, make sure you allow at least 45 minutes - an hour (North Beach State Park) for busy ramps, traffic lines and time to re-fuel. Being on time is VERY important! If you are going to be late, please call us.
When refueling your Motorized Vehicle, please select Ethanol-Free Fuel or Premium if not available. Fueling station suggestions:
1. Minnetonka: Fuel Stop: St. Charles - Premium Available
2. Bear Bottom: St. Charles - Ethanol Free Available
3. Paris Sinclair: St. Charles - Premium Available
4. Mike's Market: Garden City - Ethanol Free Available
Complete the Equipment Check-Off with a North Bear Rentals staff member, who will review your Rental for proper fueling and damage. Your Damage Deposit Hold will be released, pending no damage. (PLEASE NOTE: Please keep your fueling receipt)
If you think you may be late returning your Rental, please call us immediately. Late returns will be charged a late fee. (Base rate, non-discounted/8hrs.)
Units that return with excessive sand, mud, food, and spills or dog fur will incur an "Above and Beyond Cleaning Fee" of $100, depending on the extent.
Units not fueled or under-fueled will be charged a $25 fueling fee plus Fuel.

Delivery Details and FAQ answers
Please Note: For Boat or PWC rentals, you will still need to arrive at your scheduled appointment at the North Bear Rentals location to complete your Check-On.
We do NOT provide the full Check-On process at the boat ramp. UTV rentals requesting delivery, we can complete your Check-On at your location.
Please Note: For lake rentals, many of our customers complete the check on the evening before and schedule delivery for the following morning at the agreed-upon time and location.
Delivery includes round-trip launch and retrieval, or UTV trailer delivery, with a stop for refueling.
Multi-day rentals that require multiple deliveries will be charged the delivery fee for each round-trip delivery.
Delivery Return
We generally can complete your PWC and Boat Delivery Check-Off in the parking lot. Please collect all personal items prior to arriving at the dock. All loose life jackets can be returned to the original boat storage area. Pre-arrange your passenger and boat operator transportation from the dock. Gather any accessories, toys, or add-ons and return them to their original compartments.
We will pick up your equipment at the agreed-upon time. We will complete your Check-Off in a safe/legal parking area and gather safety equipment, toys, and add-ons. Please do not be late.
You will have two options for fueling your equipment:
Option 1: Follow the Staff member to the discussed gas station and use your personal credit card
Option 2: We will fuel for you. Pay for the fuel, 10% merchant fee on the cost of fuel. We will charge your card on file.
Unless there are no further issues to resolve, your damage deposit will be returned.
Our booking Peek platform, via Stripe, accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express to reserve your Rental. Sorry, we do not accept Checks.
The damage deposit must be held on a credit card that matches the signing party with an available balance.
No! Currently, there are no mandatory stops between the North Bear Rentals property and Bear Lake. North Bear Rentals has our equipment inspected at the beginning of the summer by a local Parks and Recreation officer and provided a compliance sticker for each unit. We complete the Utah invasive species course and mark our units with a compliance sticker. In addition, we do not allow our lake equipment in any other body of water besides Bear Lake.
MOTORIZED EQUIPMENT
You must be 21+ years of age with valid Driver's License to RENT any motorized Equipment.
16-17+ years of age to OPERATE any motorized rental equipment with valid Driver's License under direct parental supervision. Operation under 16 years of age is not allowed.
PWC operators 14-16 years of who have a valid PWC safety course card and direct parental supervision may operate a PWC.
NON-MOTORIZED EQUIPMENT
You must be 18+ years of age with a valid Driver's License to RENT non-motorized Equipment such as kayaks and paddleboards. The responsible party is responsible for supervision.
PLEASE NOTE: All Renters, Responsible Parties, Drivers, or Operators must be present at pick-up to receive important usage and safety information. ALL PWC Operators must be present at pick up to watch a 10 minute Idaho State PWC Safety Video. A safety completion card will be provided upon completion.
Yes, we offer Walk-In" rentals!
Choose the "Morning Pick-Up" option, and select the "Same-Day - Late P/U" from the drop-down for latest time options. If you see absolutely no time options available, give us a call! If the last pick up time has passed, we would be happy to check our calendars for any openings! Call (208) 240-2341. Late pick-ups (8 hours) picked up passed our set times are will not extend your return time. We do not do half-day rentals on boats and PWCs.
Your rental amount will include 6% Idaho Sales Tax and a 6% Platform fee. You will be responsible for FUEL. A "refundable" $100-$1500 damage deposit, less any damages, late fee prorated, above and beyond cleaning fees. Optional fees include delivery, toys, and added amenities.

For boats and PWCs, Yes. Your fuel tank is full at the start of your rental. When launching and retrieving your units, you are responsible for refueling your Equipment at the end of your rental. All motorized vehicles require 91 Octane fuel or non-ethanol fuel.
Our customers will generally fill up at either "Minnetonka Cafe" in St. Charles or "Sinclair" in Paris.
Equipment returned under fueled will be charged a $25 fueling fee + fuel costs included fueling during delivery if customer is not present.
For UTVs, if you are driving off the property and you are not able to fuel your UTV upon return, we will fuel your Side-by-Side at the North Bear Rentals property for no additional fee. Multi-Day rentals, renter is responsible for mid-trip fueling.

Currently, you may take your pet on our Berkshire Pontoon Boat ONLY for an additional $15/pet/day fee. Please call us if you have any questions.
Pets are welcome on UTVs. Many of our UTVs have a small bed that most pets love.
Pets are not allowed on the Double Decker Pontoon, PWCs, Ski or Wakesurf Boats.
PLEASE NOTE: North Beach State Park does NOT allow pets on the beach. You may go to the "pet friendly" private beach located further east. Enterance fees vary. You may bring your pet onto the docks only for loading and unloading purposes only. Please make sure you clean up after your pets and leash responsibly. Customers will be charged for any "above and beyond" cleaning, such as dog hair, or damages caused by pets.
MOTORIZED EQUIPMENT
Please plan for a 20-40 minutes to pick up your rental to allow for missing paperwork, payment, safety equipment, education, equipment check on, and trailer/vehicle hook-up.
Please plan for a 15-30 minutes Equipment check-off process to check fuel and any damages.
NON-MORTIZED EQUIPMENT
Please plan for a 10-20 min to pick up your rental to allow for missing paperwork, payment, safety equipment, education, and loading.

Your rental date and time appointment are scheduled to provide the best attention to each customer.
Late pick up will not extend your rental period. Please let us know if you are going to arrive late to your scheduled pick up appointment!
No refunds are provided for early returns.
Unapproved returns after hours are not allowed and will result in forfeiture of the damage deposit.
Life happens, and Bear Lake weather can be unpredictable. Your safety is our priority, so if you need to cancel your reservation, please do so promptly to allow others to book.
We would be happy to reschedule your reservation, within the same season, for no additional charge. However, if you still need to cancel your reservation, a 5% cancellation fee will be charge off of your rental amount to cover merchant fees.
No cancellations allowed for "No Shows", "Late Arrivals" or after the equipment leaves the North Bear Rentals property.
If North Bear Rentals LLC must cancel your reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, such as mechanical issues, we will strive to find an alternative unit. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, a full refund will be provided and no late fees will be charged.

Please give us a call at least 2 hours before your scheduled rental Rental Drop-Off time if you would like to extend your rental! If your rental Equipment is still available, we will be happy to extend your rental and prorate any discounts! (Base Rate including discounts/10 Hours).
Unexpected weather conditions can arise throughout the year, and Bear Lake is no exception, with storms frequently occurring towards the day's end. We kindly request that you check the weather conditions before taking your unit from North Bear Rental's premises.

To Reserve: You must be 21+ years of age with a valid driver's license to rent motorized vehicles.
Safety: Helmets and goggle rentals are provided. 17 years of age and under are required to where a helmet by law. All operators must be present at check-on. Small children 4 years of age and under, we do not guarantee our helmets are small enough. For the CF Moto XL 6-seater, a child seat can be set between two adults on our at your own risk.
Fuel: If you are not able to fuel your unit(s) upon return, we provide on-site fuel. Fuel is generally $15-25/day depending on use.
Where can I go?
Option 1: Park your vehicle on the North Bear Rentals property and explore Bloomington Canyon and Bloomington Lake. Take a swim, take an inflatable paddle board or swing off the rope swing (at your own risk)! Gates open depending on snow pack around July 1st. Just follow the signage! Restrooms and parking is available at the 1.9 mile beginner to intermediate trailhead. 2-4 hours Cleaning: You are not required to clean your UTV after your rental with standard use, however if the unit is "Mudded", or caked with mud, a $100 cleaning fee will be charged.
Option 2: Park your vehicle on the North Bear Rentals property and explore Paris Canyon and the Paris Ice Caves. This fun through the back roads to Paris places you next to the Paris Country Store for grabbing extra snacks. Cross HWY-89 and head west up the canyon for a beautiful drive. Follow the signs to Paris Ice caves. 2-4 hours
Option 3: Pick up and transport your UTV to your favorite location in the Bear Lake Valley.
Option 4: Request your UTVs to be delivered to your location for added ease and convience! Fees are generally $150 North Side, $175 Garden City, additional locations vary.

Failure to meet standard towing requirements, basic competency, the inability to understand operation, safety, or use instructions may result in cancellation. North Bear Rentals reserves the right to refuse service.
